Cobb Architecture

The good people at Frogman Interactive contacted me to help them code a brand new website for architect Darryl A. Cobb. Based in Charleston, SC, Cobb Architecture strives to make every home and building, whether commercial or residential, large or small, of the highest quality. Their portfolio speaks for itself.

The Cobb Architecture website began as a simple project but quickly became more and more complex as dynamic elements, mostly running from the jQuery library, were introduced:

  • An accordion to display houses from the Residential page
  • Slideshows with thumbnails to introduce photos of each house
  • Advanced tooltips to help visitors locate Cobb’s projects on a Charleston map
  • Random house display on the frontpage
  • Random testimonials

In addition, Frogman Interactive also provided state-of-the-art 3D floorplans and seamless 360-Degree tours.

  1. Hey, nice work on that vertical residential portfolio page. Really unique. What will you do if they need to show more pieces? Scroll horizontally or add another row?

  2. Thanks Shawn for the compliment. It was a fun website to build. Regarding your question, we did approach the client prior to using this technique and he agreed to keep the same amount of pieces at all time. I may have room to add an extra one, but if a new piece needs to be introduced, an old one must go.
