Noelle @ 35 Weeks – Mothers Day

May 11, 2008 – 6:22 pm

Here’s a new picture of Noelle (and Olivia hiding under her shirt) at 35 weeks. Today is Mothers Day and this is Noelle’s first year as a mother. Olivia is still kicking a lot, especially in Noelle’s rib. It looks like she’s been upside down for a couple of months. She must be ready to come out now. She will be grounded for 2 months as soon as she comes out for kicking her mother so much :-)

1 Ton of Metal = Big Money

May 7, 2008 – 1:39 pm

Last weekend, we finally got rid of all the metal junk we had scattered all around the house and yard. We took it to the metal scrap yard hoping to make $20. Well, we ended up with a little more than that. Let’s say if was a nice surprise. We also got a nice workout.

Downstairs Bathroom – Part 1

May 2, 2008 – 9:42 am

The baby shower for Olivia is coming up soon and we realized that we couldn’t have our guests go upstairs to use the bathroom. It wouldn’t be very practical. So, in addition to all the unfinished projects we have going on in the house, we decided to make the bathroom downstairs functional. Of course, there’s not such a thing as an easy renovation project. We found out after we removed the PINK carpet that the floor under the toilet was rotten and badly damaged. The toilet was never attached properly onto the floor and leaked. You can imagine the smell. We still haven’t been able to get rid of it.

Nevertheless, the project is moving forward. Below are some pictures of the “before” renovation stage. It was a mess. Coming soon will be some pictures of the “after” stage…

Take a look at picture #5. A piece of wood in the ceiling is dated from 1905! That’s an old piece of wood.
