Wake Forest University
Wake Forest University contacted me to help them code a new section of their website focusing on showcasing some of their enrolled students. The project consisted of putting together a template page that could easily be updated in Contribute. My duties were to build the template and pass it on to a developer who then implemented the Contribute code. I unfortunately didn’t get to give much input design-wise. The mock had already been created. However, the coding in itself ended up being quite challenging anyway.
The template features:
- A fully collapsable and expandable jQuery accordion to display optional information based on the student’s interview
- Thickbox to display a photo slideshow and videos
- CSS Browser Selector: a small script allowing to write specific CSS for different operating systems and browsers

XHTML/CSS W3C AJAX ThickboxSki & Tennis Station
Once in a while, a client gives you “Carte Blanche” to design anything you want for their website. Doug at Ski & Tennis Station in Winston-Salem was that man. Doug had 2 websites: Ski & Tennis Station, a store focused on ski and tennis equipment, and The Board Room, a secondary store focused on Snowboard and Skateboard equipment. Both sites were about 5 to 6 year-old and needed a face-lift to attract the young crowd being the majority of his customers.
Both websites used to be quite different in content and style. As a matter of fact, someone visiting Ski & Tennis Station would have no idea that The Board Room belonged to the same owner and was right next door. They are now similar in look and feel and visitors can jump from one site to another from any page. The website features:
- An AJAX based tabbed-carousel on the frontpage
- A Twitter status box and links to 2 Facebook groups
- A simple jQuery dropdown menu

Ray at Underground Planet, an award-winning video production based in Austin Texas, saw my website in a contest I entered (and lost) a few months ago. Ray needed a redesign and wanted to use the same layout and functinality as mine: Navigation at the bottom of the page; toggleable elements, lots of bells and whistles; all built in WP.
Ray is a very talented Director, Producer and Editor. His website features amazing music videos among other projects such as commercials and feature length movies. The website features:
- The jQuery Lavalamp navigation effect by Ganeshji Marwaha
- A toggleable footer when the “Contact” button is clicked, courtesy of Dynamic Drive
- A Twitter box and a Skype status box
- Links to MySpace, Facebook, Vimeo and YouTube
